Fold down rear seat?

Hello!

I'm a new owner of a '99 E350 w/Powerstroke. I'll have tons of questions in the coming months. I know you guys can help.

My first one, does anyone know a source for a fold down rear bench seat? My van is a 7 passenger with 4 buckets and a rear bench.

I do frequent all night drives and it would be nice to have this option.

Re: Fold down rear seat?

I think the last year for the Factory tri-fold bed-bench (third row) from Ford was 1996 or 1997. The factory one will fit your current floor brackets assuming you have factory seating (Chateau or XLT package) and not a conversion van. I would do a search on car-parts.com Its an online salvage yard search. I located one in Orlando for my van, but sold it before I got around to doing this. My two previous Clubwagons (93 Chateau and 92 XLT) had this with the quad seating. Its a nice set up.

Salvage Yard is going to be your best bet. Even if the upholstery is rough, you can transfer your upholstery over, that part of the seat frame is the same and then just have to upholster the third section of the trifold to match if you care about that.

You can also find the bed Bench's from conversion companies, these are typically just a Bifold and don't use the factory quick disconnect floor bracket. Makes it tougher to pull in and out if you need the van for cargo duty.

Re: Fold down rear seat?

Thanks for the tips. I need a few other interior parts so I'm sure a junk yard will be my best bet. Thanks!
