Re: frame pucks?

The "frame pucks" or the "frame spacers" are used to mount the aftermarket body. I would check with the body mounting company that you are using to tell you which option to check off. I'm pretty sure the aux battery option is only an option with the gas engines. The diesel will come with two batteries.

Re: frame pucks?

Your body builder will install the frame pucks as part of his package with installing the body.At least mine did.The diesel engine has 2 batterries located on the frame .Depending which body you get they may have to be moved elsewere.Mine are in one of my boxes on the side of my body.(Nice and dry there)

Re: frame pucks?

With the gas engines the aux battery does not help start the vehicle. If you have a tow package, it feeds power (fulltime) to the trailer through the 7 pin trailer hook-up. You could also tap into it to run all of the interior and or exterior lights in the "box". That way you don't drain the starting battery when parked. Talk to the body guys.
