Re: front end lift
There might be some old posts from years ago by me and others if you run a search.
From what I recall we simply used air bags and heavy springs in the front. On some vans that an atm service had, the shop I worked for wound up using the air bags to get the alignment right. The air bags were needed to help the spring with the weight, without the air bag the alignment was off. We set each bag up seperately and marked the area by where we put the valve with the poundage used so if something happened you at least had a starting point. These vans were one ton cargo vans that were armored for atm service, they had bulletproof windsheilds and doors and lots of extra weight in them. We got the springs through napa or somewhere and got the strongest ones they offered, and they were stronger than we could get from ford. We did one with just the springs and it came back for air bags. After that we just did springs and air bags at the same time, and these were new vans with new springs, but they could not handle all the extra weight.
Adding air bags should get you back to stock height. If you want a lift I would research some of the pre-runner 2wd pickups with a similar suspension system.
