Funky 2003 Power Mirrors and Other Changes.

I just bought a 2003 E-350 gasser last night. I bought it sight unseen and when I got in it for the first time I noticed these funky power mirrors that are split with a convex bottom half.

Anyone know how to adjust the bottom half independant of the top half?

It also has a large grab handle on the drivers side wich would prohibit the installation of A pillar guages if one desired them. That grab handle also restricts your vision past the A pillar.

Well first off i dunno what exactly the mirrors are you are talking about, but so far all the ford convex parts that come factory i have seen adjust with your hand out the window, lol. The other part is movable via motors. And that handle you speak of can be removed, remove the trim and find the little covers for the screws in it, and unscrew it. It comes off.

I have tried to adjust the bottom halves and they seem to be attached to the upper halves and can't be aimed very well.

Oh well, I guess I'll read the instructions.

ROTFLMAO, this sounds like new owner syndrome, but gosh you already have a bunch ... won't we ever learn - gotta love it ... I do the same thing ... INSTRUCTIONS or DIRECTIONS (especially when driving) WHAT ARE THOSE ... stop and ask someone ... NEVER

Larry,

Who the heck has time to read an owners manual.....ever read one of those? I would rather try and learn Japanese than try to find the paragraph on setting the time on the radio much less adjusting the mirrors!

Re: Funky 2003 Power Mirrors and Other Changes.

Just push the bottoms with some authority they will give. Gauges can be installed no problem. The handle is removed. The F-series is the same way.
