Gas to Diesel swap

I'm in the process of doing a swap from a 460 to a 7.3idi turbo. The diesel is out of an '89 f350 and going into a '76 E series van body. Now that they are both out, the location of the motor mounts are about 5" difference.
Does anyone know if the factory diesel E series mounts are that far offset to move the motor forward, or am I looking at making my own adapters to move the diesel forward?
Thanks in advance for any input!
