Gauge install question

I have a new set of Autometer gauges (pyro, trans temp, and boost) and am looking to install them on the drivers side a-pillar. What is being used for a mount? Has anyone modified the 3 gauge pillar for the F series to work on the van? Or does someone make a 3 pod pillar (2" holes) specifically for the van?
Thanks
Colin

Re: Gauge install question

Colin,

If you do a search in this forum for a date range of "All posts" using the search option "And" with the words to search of "a-pillar and gauge" and then "a-pillar and guage" you will also find a lot of info. I used two double pod mounts for my 4 gauge a-pillar install and pics are in my webshots site (click on link in my sig).

Re: Gauge install question

We used two / two gauge pods and matted them together to get a Four gauge set up. You can do the same thing with a One and a Two. email me and I'll attach a pic on the reply that shows the four gauge set up. Should give you some ideas. As you may know, Autometer makes a one and two for the E-series.

Re: Gauge install question

Thanks for all the info. After lookng at the tack on Autometer pods, I decided to order the triple pod full pillar overlay for the F-series truck. I have some ablility with plastics and have decided to make my own triple gauge A pillar mount. It shouldn't be that hard. I am going to use a Plastex plastic repair kit to meld the original panel to the modified F series overlay and then paint it all to match with Ford interior trim paint. Should take me about a week or so to make and then, hopefully my local dealer will have the paint in that I ordered today so I can paint it to match.
