Getting an LCD with Auxiliary Idle Control

HELP!

I have been waiting for nine months to receive my auxiliary idle control kit from the Florida Ford dealer where I ordered my 2000 E-350 van. It was not included with the van when I picked it up after it was converted by DMC Vans. After repeated phone calls, faxes, and letters I finally received the kit which did NOT contain an LCD. When I ordered this unit, there was only one order code number and it did not distinguish between the kit with a PTO and without.

Any suggestions on how I can get the unit with the LCD and what difference does it make installing the kit with a PTO when my van doesn't have a PTO. This has been a very trying process so any help is appreciated.

Hi Tom, When I took delivery of my 2001 e350 the APCM was in a box in my van. Mine was $170 and is the LCD version that has a PTO button on it. I popped in the connection behind the brake pedal mounted my bracket in the couple holder and it worked fine. It defintely is a conversation piece and occupies a big chunk of console, but if you remove the ash tray the opening holds all but the largest soda cups.

Go down to Aus Idle Control Modules and there are several numbers. Mine also got lost during conversion but was retreived after a phone call. Then just find the plug (no easy task) and it works!!

Does anyone know of an aftermarket part that accomplishes the same thing? I didn't think to order it, and to buy from a dealer is $500.
