Maybe if they put the Duramax/Allison combo in them with a larger fuel tank and 4x4 I might be interested since they have a 9,600lb GVWR on the 2003 3500's.

Well the E-350 regular already has a 9500 and the extended a 9400 and if the 6.0L comes about I would think the GVWR might also increase. My GAWR combo on my 2001 with the one up front GAWR is 4600 + 6084 so at ground that's 10,684 ... thus I guess I might fell safe to use a GVWR of around 10K on my current set up. I got the 200lb increase over the normal front GAWR and it didn't change the nominal GVWR so there is some give and take in these ratings. If a 4400 lb normal front GAWR with a 9500 GVWR is standard and you pay to increase the front by 200lbs why doesn't the GVWR go to 9700 ... whatever

Re: GM Vans to get Stabilitrak

Well the PSD 4x4 Excursion has 5200/7000 F&R axle ratings vs 4600/6340 F&R axle ratings on the E350 but Ford only gives it a 9,200 lb GVWR because of the soft rear springs . So I put Air Lifts on the rear and it tows a 41 ft TT with no problems but some people are saying it is not legal because with 1250 lb tongue weight it is over the GVWR. This is a silly game if I have to buy a vehicle with lighter capacity axles to be legal.
