E-Series VansTechnical discussion of topics related to vans powered by any of the Navistar engines. This covers a broad number of years, but there isn't enough demand to split it any further.
same homemade version that some others on-site have done...running 2 amsoil 4070's from a 4" T...1 45* elbow and 4" straight pipe leftovers from the wideopen exhaust system...I did as others here have done and kept the factory turbo inlet and ran my 4" pipe into it...
Still not happy until I get a brace of some type on the T section to keep it steady and not having the tendency to shake...I do like being able to check all the pulleys and belts etc that the stock filter housing prevented from seeing...
No real clearance issues, thanks to others for sharing their installs
Aceman did a hood scoop on his van, not a front open ram-air type, the opening is on the side facing the windshield. So driving rain will not go in.
I would like to see a ram-air hood kit that would remove that huge plastic box that houses the air filters. And make a rig like the pickup trucks have.
