Has anybody turned a window van into a cargo type van by adding removable panels?

I'm interested in buying a van for traveling and I enjoy the views out the windows when the views are nice, ie camping, traveling..., but enjoy the security/privacy with the cargo type van when sleeping or parking.

I am curious if anyone has a window van and has added removable hard panels that cover the inside of the side and rear windows so you have a view when desired and privacy/security when desired.

Thanks

Why don't you just heavly tint all of the side and rear windows. You will still have a view out from the inside but no one will be able to see in?

Re: Has anybody turned a window van into a cargo type van by adding removable panels?

I have a 95 where I have fabricated 'popin' panels for all the rear windows. The smaller ones on the doors are cut from corrugated which wedge in and the large windows are made from paneling cut a little oversized and held mostly in place with the seat belts. For the front windows we found a cloth type that fits over the sunvisors and hooks to the trim panels behind the front doors from a camper supply. We have used this set up two or three times a year since the van was new.
