HOME COMING

Hi guys and gals,
I'd like to thank MADVAN for the ride again to York P.A. to pick up my van and now i have some pics of his van(very impresssive )so ill be posting those also for him.

The van is everything i expected and more but on the other end of the spectrum i'm kind of disappointed due to fords quality job#1 which im in the prosess of straightening out not that i'll get anywhere with ford.It seems they do what they want when it comes to options you pay for and they delete and dont say a thing to the paying customer. But i can walk into a ford parts department and order it at the counter and buy it.(twice i dont think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I ordered the peddle lamps option and i asked if i could add something myself(A certified electrical auto radio shop) since they messed up and was told if i add anything like it myself i'll void my warranty on the electrical!what a crock.IF only i would have known i wouldnt have paid for the extended warranty for what, the tranny. If this problem dont get resolved fast im gonna want my money back for the extended warranty pro rated and dropped.IMHO ill take that money and put it towards a trip to Brians Truck Shop for one of his trannies.
On the second day i experienced brake drag which is very scary when it first happens and the truck shutters and you go from 70 mph to 35 and you got the peddle buried in the floor so you dont get caught in city highway traffic so i could pull over.As mysterious as it appeared it disappeared(after i slam the brake peddle a few times out of frustration). It seems im having brake problems with the truck. The last three days now its fine but ill be taking it in for a check-up.

The front end likes to wonder with no crowning in the road so thats another problem not unless its tied into the brakes which is possible.
I notice it happens when at highway speeds and the milage is less than spectacular but i know it most likely is all tyed into this brake problem.

Sorry Just Venting
TONY

Re: HOME COMING

Well that's pretty cool, i wanna see some pictures here soon, . That really sucks you got brake problems, hopefully you get those all straightend out.

As for the warranty problems, what can i say... that's ford. They're pretty unforgiving about warrant it would seem. I think i should take my van in and tell them i want it fixed under warranty, haha. They would probably not only say not, but would also punch me in the face for just asking. You look under the dash and all you see if wire termanals velcroed all over the place and more wires running everywhere than you can imagine,(well you probably can imagine it).

But anyways, hope you enjoy the van and get your issues straightend out. Goodluck.

Road Trip------GREAT!!!
Trip to---Complaint---1.98 per gal fuel--Oil is now truely black gold. Also we shifted a belt in rear tire 100 miles out.

Trip return--To cold to change tires and didn't want the down time. Average speed 75mph. Van vibed so much that you couldn't see anything in mirriors. Also no heat. Approx every 50 miles drove threw snow to cool tire, dropped tire pressure 3 times.

Trip total time 12hrs, 430 miles.
Repairs- 4tires,2rearend main seals, rear brake shoes, and blend door for heating system. (no fun to change this).

Let's do it again i love road trips. (for some trannies)
You will workout the buggs just give it time. If you need anything call. Pass by Grand Performance if need to check van.

BILL--MADVAN--Thanks for pic post.

Re: HOME COMING

VISIONQUEST,
I just got to test my 4x4 option in the snow this week with the snow storm N.Y.C. got and there was no stopping the van in anything i drove thru and that was with the stock tires that the van came with.
