Re: I'm tired of not shifting...

A friend of mine used to have an E150 with the inline 6 and a four speed manual on the floor. They were rare, but they did exist.

I'm sure you could convert yours. All it takes is time and money. Probably lots of both!

I'm tired of not shifting...

Okay, I've had my '84 E-350 for about 2 and a half months now, and my left foot's getting an itch and my right arm's getting bored. Is there a way to put a manual tranny in? Preferably a 5 speed (either a Clark if that's feasible, or maybe a ZF...although if it came to that I think I'd rather have a T-19 and GV OD)...how feasible would it be? The Kelley Blue Book says that, in '84, vans were offered with 3 speed and 4 speed manuals, but I've never seen one, and take that with a grain of salt.

Thoughts? Comments? This won't be for a while; I'm broke right now...

Thanks in advance!

Manual Trans do exist but they were rare. I had one in my '80 E150. It had an in-line
6 cyl. If I rememeber right it was 3 speed with OD.
