Re: jiffy lube

They did my dogde van wrong. Good thing I watched the dude. They bought me a new rebuilt tranny from a shop I trust. If I were a "not knowing any difference person" I woulda been out, cause they fought me even on the screw up they did. They would not let me video taking apart, so I wouldn't let them touch it. I wanted witnesses, & they didn't want that. Finally they agreed to a tranny shop to disassemble & tell what fried tranny. Turns out they turned the filter 180 degrees & installed the 2 of the three screws that lined up. (thats what I noticed at time of their oil change, one screw left out. I even informed the dude. He said, some filters use 2 screw & some use three. "NOT" So the filter blocked pickup tube. Live & learn. This is why I'm on this site . I do most of my own work.(I shoulda listened to my gut when I went to Jiffylube in the 1st place) You just gotta know your limits & get good help when called for. Another good reason for this site, referals.
