God willing ,
we will set a new record at either the bonneville salt flats or at an abandoned airforce base in California or Nevada .
The date will be after the Baja trip with 50 or so other 4x4 vans on the Sportsmobile off road rally 4/15 to 4/17 2000,
This will be cool, my birthday is 4/16!
We will depart from baja then head to the site for the record attempt.
Jim at custom auto , Allen Feld at Sportsmobile, Mike Quigley and
Larry Yates at Quigley 4x4, Jim from Road Armor and others from Banks, etc are working together to make this possible.
The Van is on a lift at Custom auto as we speak, receiving a 3" body lift to make more room in the engine compartment for speed goodies.
