E-Series VansTechnical discussion of topics related to vans powered by any of the Navistar engines. This covers a broad number of years, but there isn't enough demand to split it any further.
Larry,
I think it was your van that has a three gauge pod mounted on top of the dash. If it is, where did you get it and off hand how long is it (side to side). Trying to adhere the F-series gauge pod to the E-series A pillar is not working -- I've tried so many different adhesives that I am seeing pink elephants fly around my head! Thanks
Colin
I think it's the standard autometer one made for the F-Series, but my documentation is in my Van that was buried in the snow and now is encrusted in a block of "lead ice". So it might be a while to get the real info. My three guage pod is used only when I tow and simply sits on the dash and plugs in and I didn't have to do a little triming to have it follow the contour of the Van dash.

Does your wiring come out from under the access panel on the top, center of the dash? Have you ever taken this panel off? Do you know how it comes off? The service manual doesn't really help much.
This is where I am going to put my gauges because I don't like the "tacked on" look of the pods made for the vans.
Thanks for your help
Colin
I ran all my "stuff" and it is a lot ... like three 1/2 wire looms and maybe 50 wires up on the far left of the dash along the A-pillar. That 3 guage pod alone takes two 12 guage and 9 24/26 gauge wires alone ... it carries the current to my trailer brakes along with the trailer level indicating system. I also have all the illumination/sensor stuff for my 4 gauge A-piller along with the 30A switched power center with 6 switches, and my doghouse illumination and turn signal indicators, plus like 5 or so spares that are unused at this point.
