Re: a little peace & quiet

Welcome to the board man. Don't know if you have cruised the boards much, but there is more information here than you could possibly imagine, and really nice to people too.

As for your van yes that's about as common as it gets, a loud diesel engine when cold. That's just how they are. One mine i did put some sound insulation on the "dog house", the cover over the motor, and that helps some, but you can do alot with sound deading. I have seen serveral packages that go for crazy amounts of money, so they must work pretty well, either that or they just like to take your money. I can't really say, i'm sure someone else on here probably knows better than I.

Re: a little peace & quiet

Welcome also, and can't say much about a 95, but my Van is exactly twice or a little more loud when cold (that's in the 30*F to 60*F) as it is when warmed up. It might even be worse in the 10 to 20* days we've been seeing, but I haven't measured it.

Look around and ask away and go to "My Home" and add your general location and edit the personal info to tell us a little about your ride.

Larry
