looking for lifted van pics

Hi guys, I'm looking at the possibility of a 4x4 diesel van. I would like to probably lift it and put some nice wheels on it. Anyone doing this here? Is there a place to order tricked out vans in the western part of the country? How about a website. I hope this isn't old stuff, but I don't hang out this forumn much. Thanks in advance, Juneau

Yea!
another convert!
I'm in Portland OR and have a ton of contacts for you. Contact me at my email if interested. Also check out these websites....

http://www.glinx.com/~sbest/4vanhow.htm
http://www.glinx.com/~sbest/index.htm
http://www.geocities.com/gregkaty/homepage.html
http://www.salemkroger.com/vans.html
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/4x4van/
http://www.geocities.com/4xvan/4x4vans4sale.html

Also do a search on quigley but I think the closest quigley place in in CA. Try clydsdale also. And then there are a bunch of the small time 4x shops around.
Don't know if you've seen these or not. There's a ton of good pics. Also i have several pics of my '85 1Ton....but she's a beater.
Anyway contact me if interested.
There is a guy doing the conversion now that frequents this site drives/goes by "warwagon" look him up also he is doing a conversion this winter. He might be able to kick in some ideas.
Good luck.

Thanks Wade, We'll look at some of this stuff. My friend lives in Bend, and he's looking too. Anyone near there?

Quigley lifts the van about 3"(feels higher) to clear the system they install. You can get 265 / 75 /16 under it, if you trim 1" off the plastic front bumper trim. No rub, even off road. I'm not sure what you'd have to do the get 285's or larger under it. I can send you a pic of mine with some Weld's and the 265's. Send your email address to roaddog@mindspring.com if you're interested. Ordering a Quigley is very easy, but you have to go through a Ford dealer. I've heard from some guys that there are Ford Dealers in the West, that stock a few now and then.

Re: looking for lifted van pics

Most of the people I know that have 4x vans/convert 4x are in the valley (Eugene to Portland). I'm over to the bend area about every other weekend or so. If he's interested in taking a spin in the snow or mud with me sometime he is welcome.
I also know a guy in eugene that is doing a 1 ton EB conversion right now that he can grill for info if he is interested. I don't know if you guys are going to purchase or convert yourselves but it's good to look at a lot of converted vans before spending a bundle of $$ or time(or both).
Mines an old pathfinder conversion Raised about 3" with 33" mudders on it but he might get some ideas. I bought it cheap and am slowly fixing it up and converting it to a camper unit.
Anyway, have him email me if he is interested.
