Looking for rear mat

I just ordered a new 03 e350 PSD to replace my 90 IDI. Since I am getting the chateau with full carpeting I am looking to get a heavy weight mat to cover the rear cargo floor. I use the van for hauling a great deal of junk around - don't we all - I really need something fairly tough. Will I end up making one or does anywone know if there are any preformed mats for the van like I have seen for the suvs?

Re: Looking for rear mat

Welcome to the forum
Yes there is one made to cover the rear area up to the supports for the rear bench seat. Give me a day or so and I'll find the sources for you. Yeah, it's tough as nails, I've had this one in my last two E's. (same one).

Re: Looking for rear mat

Try this link. You may have to call them for a retail store near you, but this is the mfers website and the price is within $ 5 of what I paid for mine 8 years ago.!

Re: Looking for rear mat

Thanks for the info Roaddog.
I am thinking that I will be taking the bench seat out and storing for when I have need for the extra seating and their mat only covers rear to the 3rd row, but could put all my wet stuff there and the dry forward so it looks like the weathertech mat will do the basic job for me. I also like the window rain shields they are going to have, so will probably get a set of those also. They sell right on the web site direct.

This new van is going to be great, but will require me to be so much more careful. I have carried everything from my motorcycles, boat engines and even a tree for the front yard with a root ball as big as the entire rear opening. I know doing that will mess up the chateau interior, so will have to break my old habits of just tossing anything I want to in the back. But it will be nice to be driving new for a change... can't wait fo rthe delivery.

Re: Looking for rear mat

There's a couple of websites that cater to the work van. I'm not sure what the names are, American Van or something like that could be one of them. They have metal rack systems, expanded metal wall/driver protection panels, you get the picture. You might start surfing through Google to see if one of these "commerical" sites has HD waterproof mats for the entire van floor.

Re: Looking for rear mat

Thanks for the good steer Roaddog. I did some searching and ordered a full size mat from American Van. Mat covers the entire rear area, so I will have to shorten it up to cover just the cargo area behind the second seat of seats. Now all that has to happen is to get the new van...
