Looking at this Van, looking for your comments.

Ford : E-Series Van:eBay Motors (item 260510196636 end time Nov-27-09 18:17:31 PST)

It looks good, and reads like he hasn't had too many problems with it.
What do you guys think of the Turbo, and the E4OD?

Why'd the do the lift? Was there any technical problem with Vans that a lift would fix?

If you guys know of another similar van out in the Frisco area let me know by pm or email.
Dick

Well, 5 years ago it had 153,000 miles. Now it has 123,000. Interesting.

Still, it looks clean. The 7.3 is reliable.

These are great vans but they can bankrupt you if you get the wrong one or you don't know how to care for and maintain and service and fix them yourself. The 7.3L and the E40D can be great if they don't give you trouble. You can sink thousands of dollars into one of these in the blink of an eye or drive them for years and years and be trouble free if you get the right one and maintain it right. They are very cheap to buy because of this. It's a crap shoot and if you can't take the chance of a major loss to your finances, I recommend you stay away. That said, with the right one you would be really happy, year in and year out. Buying without driving it and getting a mechanics opinion and inspection and getting the real lowdown on what's going on with it and what it has done and what might be acting up now is really a gamble.
