More Van Chatter

Hey All,

I'm beginning to wonder if my front springs are sacking out on this '97. The 245/75 tires are starting to rub once in a while when they didn't used to. I have about 50,000 miles on it.

If anyone is under their van with a ruler measure the gap from the axle to the rubber axle bumper and let me know what you get. I understand this is not an exact science but when I replaced the springs on my '88 van the thing jumped up about two inches in the front.

Also, does anyone know how to take apart the steering wheel? I have to replace some cruise control buttons that a friend thoughtfully poured a coke into.

Sam

Re: More Van Chatter

If your tires are rubbing against the rear of the wheel well, check the radius rod bushings.

My 94 did the same thing and I found that the body rolled forward on the frame...

Had to empty it out and take it to a body shop to get it pulled back
