part number for Napa big truck muffler (btm) ?

I can't find the part number on this forum anywhere. I saw it a week or so ago, but it has disappeared. Any thoughts on where to look?

Re: part number for Napa big truck muffler (btm) ?

Instructions to install were still in the little secrets at the top of this forum. Hopefully Photo links aren't dead.

The factory muffler is one piece with the tailpipe. For the BTM swap, cut the oem muffler out tight to the muffler. There is an S piece in front of the muffler that connects to the midpipe. You loosen the clamp at the midpipe to spin the S-pipe around to get better alignment on the BTM. The BTM is straight thru where the OEM muffler is Offset.

Re: part number for Napa big truck muffler (btm) ?

Thanks ddog. Sounds like I just need to loosen and flip. I am going to install gauges to get a base line, then start the mods to see the difference.

Re: part number for Napa big truck muffler (btm) ?

That's it. S pipe in front of muffler is part of the one piece OEM muffler and tailpipe Assy. Just remember to cut tight to muffler, then trim back to fit the BTM, its a little longer than the stock muffler. Spinning the s-pipe doesn't make it perfect, but close enough for exhaust work. There is a notch in the S pipe that matches to a tab in the midpipe. Yo may have to grind the tab on the midpipe off to get it to spin.
