Re: regulated return system for van

That has been one of my issues.
The RR system in its current form over cools the fuel(winter time).Summer is ok, but still could over cool in summer. The addition of cooler is complete waste and could hurt MPG even more. All the BS about the fuel temp and how it could effect life of inj. Inj are run with oil temp in the 190/230*
In my opinion their is no need for a fuel cooler in a PSD. A return line in summer is more than enough to do the job. The OEM electric will not even do this (dead headed).
There is a need for a fuel heater or a change of the return line with a RR system.
Its mostly about viscosity and temp changes it.

Re: regulated return system for van

bill, in my infinint wisdom while installing my RR system and doing tank modds and istalling my prepump filter , driven by my complusion to do things neat i zip tied my new fuel line to the heater lines going to the rear heater not even remembering that the lines heat up duh! or that the coolent runs through them in the summer. i was so impressed with my great routing job it didn't dawn on me till the next day and by that time i was on the road to go camping at the race track , i procceded with caution but lines gave me no trouble and i have been meaning to crawl under truck and rerout lines but been too lazy , could this goof up actually have helped ? Wade

P.S. if i am on to something could we name the modd after me hehe!

Re: regulated return system for van

Leave it alone.
Your up in CT.
It does help in winter. No side effect summer.
