steering

How is the steering on your van? Stiff or loose?

Just had my front end aligned and now that I am not fighting the left hand pull, the steering seems very loose, any one feel the same?

What I mean by loose is that the steering wheel seems to move with bumps and pitch of the road. I am constantly having to make adjustments to keep the van going straight. One second the steering will feel like it is going slake and then will drift one way then it will drift the other way depending on road conditions. Very interesting, Ford says that is normal of course.

Re: steering

Loose is the way my van feels, all suspension parts are very good. It goes straight, not much road feel.

Re: steering

I agree with what you said about the feel, here is what I have experienced, the tires have a lot to do with the feel, I run the factory LT245-75R-16 Goodyear Wrangler HT on all of my vans, constant rotation helps that problem, the vehicles also seem to handle better with those tires, they seem to be a little shorter and wider than the average
LT245-75 tire.
