Thanks in advance.
I didn't have to do anything except move wires around. The resistor deal might only be for the earlier vans. On my van there is a few terminated wires near the brake booster. I think there is aux ac, 4x4, and one labeled cto. The cto wire is the one you want. Should be white with pink tracer.

I will see if I can get the pinouts for a 97 van posted.

When you say you will try to post pinouts for a 97, will that be the stock locations or will that be for the 99 cluster in the 97 van. I have access to Mitcell and ALLDATA so if you have something I can check my work with that would be great.

I have rear earlier in this thread about the resistor and/or transistors being added or removed and would like more info on that. Once I get this info I just have to get the cluster and tackle the job. But, I want to have all my crap together before I start.
Thanks again.

I meant I would post the 97 van factory pinout, and then you would be able to see what wires do what, and where you would have to move them to get the f series cluster to work. Not sure about the resistors, I should re read this thread. I am pretty sure my cluster is working properly.

Ok. I have the pinout locations for the 97 E350 and the 99 F350. I have everything sorted out on paper I just want to check my work if anyone has done it can post some more info.
RPM, you don't have to post the pinouts for me then. Unless there is someone else that would like them.
Thanks for the thought.

Anybody else got any more info for me?

I finally went ahead and through the 99 F cluster in my 97 van. I have a few questions. The tach works but the frequency of the older 7.3 pcm is higher than the SD pcm. Does anyone know how or where I need to put the 100k resistor? Also I still need to convert my seatbelt light and water in fuel light from pos. to ground.
I am a little new at this type of electrical work and any coaching would help a lot.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

One more thing. Does anyone know about removing a transistor or resistor to get my ABS light to work.
Thanks again,
Nick

I'm still working with my seatbelt light. The polarity has to be switched on my new cluster. What year is your van and what year is the donor cluster?

Well My van is a 2003 cluster is from an exscursion no idea what year 99 i think. I ended up getting the seat belt light to work I had 2 differnt feeds on my origan cluster i just swaped feeds. Now if i can where to run a wire for my cruise but not a big worry. on that. It also helped that I had the 3 extra plugs from another van made it so i only had to swap one wire at a time to the new plugs.

Here is a pic of it.

Nice!! To make a long story short, my 600k mile (bad) cluster killed my alternator! Took the cluster out of my truck and all is good. Mr music, is your abs lit when it shouldn;t be. Because mine is now since I swapped with a good cluster.

Oh yeah, and i never got around to making the gear position indicator working either. I wish I knew that it came out of the cluster so easy!!!! I tried to take it apart under the dash....

My ABS light has been on for 3 years I did pull the bulb. The Abs pum stays running killed my battery 3 years ago so i pulled the big fuse under the hood ABS is for people that do not know how to drive.. My gear indicater was not broken so was not to bad it was a pain getting it back in place but was not hard guess working in the dark rain and with a bad back did not help. I did find your post on the other forum im imavanner2 there wish i had saw your post about the pin out may have saved me some time but it was not bad pinning it out with test light and meter. I had to do the same when i put the remote start alarm in 7 years ago.
