Re: Tail lights on E450

Did you follow the harness along the frame to see if the wire has a short or cut in it?Does it have good ground?

Re: Tail lights on E450

E450 Shuttle bus or RV cutaway?

Might have some fuses with the rest of the wiring harness stuff that is part of the conversion.

Re: Tail lights on E450

It is a E450 with a work box, I checked the harness down to where the trailer lights conect to the harness. Is there a generic wiring diagram available for tail light systems? Does the brake lights go through the turn signal switch? If so is there a way to check this ?

Re: Tail lights on E450

The brake light and signal are probably on the same wire, assuming that you have an 1157 bulb in back. I'd go back in the harness and find where you have power and work your way back to where you don't.

Box vans are pretty simple, but they have a lot of open area that something can get kicked up. Might just want to check. Hope this helps...

Re: Tail lights on E450

I have found on a lot of the E series cutaways that the rear wiring for the box/bus is on the factory trailer tow circuits.
