tire info 4x4 van

installed nitto terra grappler tires on my van 285/75/16 D series-33 inch
first of all they hooked up bigtime in the snowtorms we got here in M.D. had to put a spacer inbetween front bumper and frame of 1/2 inch so tires wouldnt hit bumper plastic on bottom no biggie the stock bolts are long enough and the tires went right on the stock rims they do have a humm to them going down the road(figured they would )and the speedo is 3 miles an hour slow now and my gear ratio changed do to the taller tires my tires were previously 245/75/16 E hts abs used to come on in rain at fast stops now it dosnt at all do to traction. just some info incase someone is changing tires im thinking about going to another gear ratio in diff,s maybe 4/10 or 3/73

Re: tire info 4x4 van

Most just trim the plastic, just make sure you cut enough away,(no one will ever notice)(really), thats what I did prior to putting Warn bumpers on both vans. The HT's should be called DHT ,Dry Highway Tire. Tony
