Towing TT to Disney from NY

It is about 1200 miles to Disney from where I am and was wondering if it is necessary to change the oil in the van while I am there for the tow back. My Travel Trailer loaded is about 5500lbs and it will be just my wife, my 2 kids and I.

I would not see a need, if the normal change interval had been reached. Maybe an oil change before the trip would be a good thing, if it had been awhile.

Right, I should have mentioned that I just changed the oil last week along with the fuel filter. I usually change the oil every 5k and the fuel filter every 15k.

I agree if it's only a 1,000 miles over your normal change interval that's IMHO not a problem. My 7.3L says 3K for heavy use and most of my miles are towing and I shoot for around a 4K change, but have gone a tad over 5K.

Well then, thanks for vote of confidence. I'll be on my way tomorrow morning. Larry, checked out your pics and I am sure I am going to wish I had as much interesting stuff as you do to look at after driving for 10 hours!!
