trans problems

anybody had probs with there trans not shifting out of first
mine started the week i got it but i didnt worry about it it happened about once every 1000,miles was not a big deel to me i thought it was a break in thing that would go away(wrong)well its been intermitten i changed the trand fluid @35200 miles with mobil synth
it seemed to make shift more smooth but the other day had the beast in 4x4 mode probably about 50 miles on it no probs then next day bamm no shifting in 2 geer big time eventully it would shift after driving with hazzards on for a while
so the deeler experience they said oh do you got a ride home i thought they were kidding this a ford truck place only big trucks they conn a manuel computer said it was internal and they would have to replace trans with reman trans from ford oh k why cheeper for ford so it was supposed to be done by now but no they cant get a trand for it anywere they said it was special trans so ford told them to rebuild it they will send rebuild kit now im pissed

Re: trans problems

I had the same.
I got flashing od light.
I got it scaned at a local trans shop.
It was shift selinoid wire in trans.(bad connection)
Paid 65.00 for repair I will do anything not to go to the dealer. Every time I have brought it to dealer I lose the van for 5 working day's. That is for even simple things. I have a bill for 975.33 to ford for a oil leak!!!
