E-Series VansTechnical discussion of topics related to vans powered by any of the Navistar engines. This covers a broad number of years, but there isn't enough demand to split it any further.
I have a WD chip in my Y2K E350. No problem. You do have to watch the temps a little, but
if have a gauge GO FOR IT! You will ask yourself why you waited so long.
Hung a pyro guage on my y2k,E-450,SD,PSD(class C RV body). Installed it ahead of turbo, for true reading (used high-temp probe). Temps running mid 1100's 60/70 mph. Would like to do a WD chip, however without an intercooler, or a wastegate turbo, I guess these vans are not candidates. Would appreciate any ideas on getting a little more performance out of a PSD in a van chassis? Thanks,jt40
Jt40,
Vans get a little hotter than some but those temps are a little high. I would suggest you check the air filter and also see if you can put a second gauge in in place of the one you have now to verify it's operation and temps. I thinking the gauge you have may be reading too high!
