I had a grill/animal guard fabricated... it weighs 70 lbs total...Do you guys think this will be too much weight on front end ie bottoming out?...trashing my beilstein shocks ??? or should I be thinking of air bags ...maybe heavier front springs ?? Since I carry extra gear on the road I have tried to move as much as possible to the rear ...Extra parts (alt, pulleys), 5 gal of fuel ..heater etc etc..opinions requested...thanks bd
70 pounds? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! There's nothing to worry about from 70 lbs. hanging on the front. For real weight, check out how much a Road Armor or STO frontend weigh.

I would agree and if you got the one up front GAWR (+200lbs for like $40) like I did your good to go for the deer hunter Road Armor grills

70 POUNDS I have a reunel front bumper. It weighs 215 pounds without the power winch.
Bill,as John and Larry have indicated, you should be good to go with your stock suspension.
With that small amount of weight, your Bilstein shocks will be fine.
My problem was the Road Armor bumper was 200 lbs and the warn winch was 150lbs for a total of 350lbs. That's serious weight!
Keep an eye on your front springs for any type of sagging down the road. If you feel like adding the SD1200 heavy duty front springs in the future, they will add about 1 1/2" of height to your van.
No need for air bags with that small amount of weight.
I'am trying to together with 7UP. He has camera i dont. The other problem is i have to at least wash it. I's has been awile. Did you install the W-WHEEL yet.
MADVAN,I still have not received my wicked wheel yet and don't know why.
I guess Bob Riley can't keep enough of these wheels in stock due to the high demand for them.
I'm glad everyone got a good chuckle from my concern about adding a 70# grill/animal killer guard up front on my van (now named Timex) what a licking its taken this past month(still ticking)...anyway I guess my concerns stem from a front end w/ weak springs and a lot of extra weight that I have to carry during the winter months driving at night thru the snow and ice...since I carry cargo all the extra room is up front passenger seat:
tool boxes
chains and shovel w/shingles
Bottle jack
5 gal diesel fuel
spare parts (alt, pulleys etc) briefcase,
3 gal oil, 2 gal anti-freeze, gal rain/x de-icer etc etc etc
heater, sleeping bag, clothes, boots, rain gear
Is this painting a visual picture for anyone??
BTW I will be switching back to decaf for the holidays
