E-Series Vans Technical discussion of topics related to vans powered by any of the Navistar engines. This covers a broad number of years, but there isn't enough demand to split it any further.

What to ask for my van?

Guys-I could use a little help here with the pricing of my van. I could not find any vans like mine in my area to help price this one. I know of the variances in pricing with conditon and location, but I need somewere to start with. Here are the details.

1992
E-250HD
7.3L Club Wagon XLT
7 passenger Quad captain chairs
standard wheel base
4.10 axle with limited slip
trailer towing pkg
power driver seat
157000 miles
Fair to Good condition
one owner
Located in Houston Texas

Thanks for any help or tips.

Re: What to ask for my van?

Try a search on auto trader. Use advanced search so you can select diesel engine and broaden the year range say 92-95 and then broaden the search distance from your zip. Don't limit the search to mileage. Combine the listed prices with information from NADA guides.com , Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds Private party values etc. That should give you an idea where to start. This is what other people would look at to see if what your asking is in line in addition to the condition factors, etc.

1999.5 F250 CC SB XLT 4WD, 7.3 PSD, First F,2nd Diesel, nice but still liked the van better.

2003 E-350 Super Duty Chateau (Club Wagon)7.3PSD, 3rd Clubwagon,First diesel, Never should have sold it....

Re: What to ask for my van?

I suggest comparing 1992 - 1994. 1995 would be the PowerStroke, and IMO worth much more. Anything older than 1992 would be the old body style and IMO worth less.

You will need to compare to E350's, I didn't even know there was an E250HD, or a new body style E250 with the diesel. The primary difference between an E250 and an E350 single wheel is the real axle.

They were technicalled called E-250's but since they had the diesel option were upped to E-350s. That's how mine was. The window sticker says E-250 and other paper work says E-350. It has E-350 suspension and such...

Re: What to ask for my van?

YARICOO8- Your right on the e250HD-e350 thing. This was ordered as a e250HD but came in with everthing saying e350.

Thanks to all for the help on pricing, the only problem here is that outside of this site not many have people have seen a diesel van.

Westro- email sent
