Who's running a DP tuner 120 program?

and how do you like it...I have an appt with Jody tomorrow and I was thinking of adding the higher hp program into hi-idle/safe tow/80 econo programs I ran on the 98...

My conservative side says: you don't really need this concentrate of fuel milage and long life

My other side says: go ahead its only a few bucks extra and it will be fun smoking the ricers at the stop lights

For a short burst its ok.

Wish i had an intercooler.

I don't have it yet, but let me know how you like it. That is my same thoughts also. The extra little bit of money for that big of a thrill is too good to pass up.

Ditto this... I have the 100 tune and I never use it, though it's not much different than the 80 econo, except for the shifting. As it is, I can't even use all of the 80 due to heat. I thought about getting the 120, but figured I would need more engine mods to use it, so I went with the 100. I might switch them one day if I get a chance, but it doesn't really matter.

Re: Who's running a DP tuner 120 program?

hey ,SIX i got the 120 program i have only used for about 30 or 45 second burts but it is KILLER i need to install some guages so i can moniter the EGT's but the van really moves when you hit the 120 my brother who own a ERA cobra with a 428 stroker was dumbfounded when he was put back in his seat in a van that weighs about 3 1/2 times his kitcar but i do agree with Bill i think it is best to use in short burts , my van has had a bad rear from day one noisey bearings from factory i am afraid if i push it it will let go , i did not take it back under warrranty because in past experience dealers only tend to cause more damage than good and very seldom in my experiernce fix the problem , but i plan to replace the bearings and install an arb air locker or an eaton electic locker soon. i would get it,Wade

Re: Who's running a DP tuner 120 program?

Have it and love it. Also got a 140hp file, but not enough suporting mods to get fully use of it. Dynoed 251,4Kw in the 120hp setting vs 208Kw in the 140hp setting....
And as stated before: just for a short burst. (Don't need a tach, I can just look at the pyrometer )

Norway,

Which 140 file do you have? I see that Jody has a 140 aggressive and a 140 extreme.

NorwayE350,

Do you have part numbers for that intake? Did you relocate the battery to the frame rail?

Re: Who's running a DP tuner 120 program?

My tow 40 is quicker than the econo 80.(& it'll leave a thunder-cloud)My kids think it's real funny to smoke out people. Gotta have Jody tweek the 80 when in his neiborhood. He said anything higher would need more modding for enough fuel delivery.

Looks like it. See pics at webshots in his sig. Nice set up. Looks like you would have room for the Tymar style filter.

Re: Who's running a DP tuner 120 program?

Econo = stock shiftpoints.
Tow = Higher shiftpoints.
Race = ?
Extr = ?
Shift should be 1,2,3,lock tc,4. Non PWM.
Don't know when PWM is at full lock?

I use the 60 Tow pane and lock TC manually after/during 2 gear shift.

1/2 a jack Bill
Norway
Where is your AIT sensor. Have you tested temps, (traffic/Hwy ect) compared to ambient? Is your dyno runs with the intake? I tryied one like yours and it hurt the power.

Bill

Sorry, old pics. That intake was home made and WAY too small. Made of ricer parts
I now have a DIY 4" intake with AFE filter. I'll try to post some updated pics soon.
And yes, all my batteries are mounted on the frame rail.
