E-Series VansTechnical discussion of topics related to vans powered by any of the Navistar engines. This covers a broad number of years, but there isn't enough demand to split it any further.
I got the antenna extension wire and ran it out through the roof brake light. The XM unit is under the drivers seat. Wires run up the B pillar and zip tie to the existing bundle.
A tiny dab of caulk will keep water from following the wire into the truck. Be careful of some silicone products, as they can attack paint.
Get the Antenna Specialists Rooftop Antenna XM20/CP. It works great and is invisible from the ground. XM Antenna

Just so you know, you can add an input adapter to the Ford stereos, adding up to 3 RCA connectors. Then push CD button twive and it switches to DJ or aux. Much better than an FM modulator. That's how I hooked up the DVD player, and I still have 2 connection left. 1 of those is reserved for Sirruis.

Is this a Ford accessory or aftermarket? Does it work with any of the Ford radios or only the CD/cassette that can be combined with a changer, hence the CD button serving as a selector between the single CD in the dash and the auxilliary Changer. My van has the CD6 indash changer,no cassette. Thanks for any additional info you have on this.

1999.5 F250 CC SB XLT 4WD, 7.3 PSD, First F,2nd Diesel, nice but still liked the van better.
2003 E-350 Super Duty Chateau (Club Wagon)7.3PSD, 3rd Clubwagon,First diesel, Never should have sold it....

It's aftermarket - Peripheral Elecrtonics makes it, you should be able to get one through any quality alarm/stereo installer. Part number is PXFD98 - should work for any late model Ford.
Here's a link to a PDF installation guide; works with or without the factory CD changer. As long as you have the 16 and 20 pin connectors on the back, it should work fine. Just ordered one up through my local alarm/stereo guy, but you can get them online as well - about $100.
These are pretty slick units - not only can you hook up three aux devices at the same time, you can independently adjust the line level input for each one.
