2011 F250 Service Engine Light - Exhaust too cold

My service engine light came on last week and I couldn't figure out why. The truck was running fine. The truck is still under warranty so I took it in. They diagnosed it and said that the computer diagnostics came back with a trouble code that referenced "engine exhaust too cold." The dealership said they had never seen that trouble code before so they re-flashed the pcm and the trouble code disappeared. This morning, the light came back on. Anyone had this issue before?

I've never seen the code, But am curious what you are doing when it triggers. Are you idling or just driving slowly thru the neighborhood? Seems anytime you get some tubro boost, your egts climb pretty fast. I don't know what the sensors considers too cold.

Both times I have been on the freeway under normal conditions. No sudden accelerations or anything else to boost the turbo. I talked to the service manager yesterday at the dealership and am bringing it in this morning. He seems to think it is a bad sensor.

Hope it is that simple and they don't have any trouble finding it.

Service manager just called. They are replacing two EGT sensors. Says they are bad. We'll see.
