That makes Ford even look worse with it costing more and delivering a cheap product. It's pretty lame to have a radiator failure at 40k miles on these trucks...

Had the radiator replaced at 42000 miles and Ford Canada said they will paya policy adjustment of 50% of the bill. It still cost me $750 for the replacement and I am not a happy customer as I had FOUR radiators replaced on my 2008 F350 and the last replacement they charged me 5o% on that bill. I had the work done in mid October and I am still waiting for a cheque from them. Not very good customer relations. Happy new year to all.

Thanks for updating us, bccanuck. Have you stayed in touch with Ford Canada on your concern? If you're having any difficulty contacting them, just let me know and I'll be happy to assist.

My 2011 F-250 is now leaking, I found it dripping on the street. Looks like it is comming from the drivers side lower corner of the radiator. My truck has 60k on it . I guess a trip to the dealer is in my near future.

My truck is still at the dealer waiting to be checked to see where its leaking from. I am hoping ford will step up and make good on the repair cost . I do have an aftermarket warranty but i still have to pay for part of the repair if the rediator needs to be replaced. Keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow will bring a call that says its being handled by ford.

Well got the call from the dealer yesterdayand the repair is going to cost $1900 to replace the radiator, Thankfully I have a warranty to cover the replacement. I am still stuck with part of the bill and not happy about it. I was told if the part was ordered early in the day on thursday then it would be there thursday afternoon or first thing friday morning and could be done friday afternoon, That didnt happen so now it could be saturday or monday. It would be nice if the dealer could get a solid delivery date insted of throwing darts at a calender then telling me someting to keep me quiet.

Still no part and now they don't know when it will be in, talk about poor service. When you promise someone that you will have something done by a certain date , you should at least have a good handle on when the part will arrive so that you don't look like you are grasping at straws. Thankfully my livelihood don't depend on my truck because i would be out of business at the pace the dealer makes promises . I so would much rather take the truck to my local mechanic rather than the dealer, at least I would know I was not getting a run around.

Hi fixit1070,

I added a note to your case about your frustration with the parts delay and requested that your regional customer service manager follow-up with you. She can contact your dealership and assist. Keep me posted on how things are going.

Add my 2011 F350 with 47K on the clock with a radiator leaking from the drivers side. I spoke to my dealer today to set up a appointment and expect this to be taken care of under Warranty to Ford will not like how I use Social Media to take care of this situation. I spoke to my local dealer and Radiator is 800 new from them and I will replace it myself and Sell this truck and go back to Dodge if they don't cover everything. 56K truck only a year and a half old. Please tell me some of you over the 36K mark have had it replaced under warranty. Oh Build Date was January 2011 which I don't think is a job 1 truck.

good luck, these have been failing since 2008 and still no redesign. Most owners are paying unless under 36/36.

It should be a recall as far back as 2008 to pres.

I love my truck and use it daily. We were a Dodge/Ford Family and moved over to Ford with a wonderful Expedition EL. Other than a Exhaust Manifold at 125K the truck ran great. My wife bought a new/used 2010 Taurus Limited and loves the car and I went and traded the Expediton and my Ram in on a Super Duty because of the new 6.7. I waited and purchased a late 2011 truck knowing there were going to be some small issues. I have had the recall on programming done a egt sensor replaced and that has been it. But this Radiator issue is worrying me as I expect a Radiator to last 200k before I am replacing it. Like I said I am going to hold judgement until I see what my dealer does but if I have to pay out of pocket for anything it is not going to be pretty.

How can a dealer not get a radiator? Isn't Ford still building trucks? I would tell them to contact the factory and get one off the line. I would be raising a huge stink if my truck was sitting for 3 weeks.

^^ when you agree to pay the radiator will show up the next day.

Sucks that there is no recall for this...

The part finally arrived after lunch yesterday, I had to follow up with the service manager to find out that it arrived.

I have tried every avenue with Ford to try and get some kind of coverage for this repair being that they know it happens, no luck.
The customer service rep that is here on the boards has been great with trying to help and I thank her for trying.
My local ford rep told me that stuff breaks so I guess i have to accept that and that it will not be recalled or covered by ford.

Lets see if the truck gets done today.

Hi fastcarsspeed,

I want to look into this and see how I can help. Send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, approximate mileage, daytime phone number, and full name; I'll start investigating.

Hi Silverwing,

Tell me about what's going on with your truck. I want to assist but I need to know more first. Send me a PM with the info I listed above (VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, full name) and I can get the ball rolling.

I know this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, fixit1070. If you have any future concerns, don't hesitate to contact me so I can look into some options to help.
