Is the 6.7 going to use post injection?

If you run out of Urea, can't you just pee into the tank?? One would ASSUME that the components that get exposed to the caustic liquid are built to withstand it.

This after shutdown "activity" would concern me...

Only if your pee meets the strict standards for the DEF - otherwise, the truck would reject it. Ever been rejected by your truck before? It's a traumatic experience!

I wish it was that easy - have a couple cups of coffee in the morning and then go around and fill up all the urea tanks in the campground.

its amazing to me how many people think the urea system replaces the DPF.

there are TOW COMPLETE polution control systems on the 2011's.

The particulate filter is still there including throwing away fuel to heat it up to clean it.

The urea is selective catalytic reduction to reduce NOX.
