Battery Voltage

I have a question. I just bought an Edge Insight CTS and noticed the battery voltage runs around 14.5v.

I figured it was the batteries being bad, because it would crank slowly on cold mornings and I had to jump it this morning. I have no idea how old the old batteries were.

So I replaced both batteries and now it cranks normally. But the voltage still runs around 14.4v - 14.6v.

This seems too high, and I don't want to ruin my new expensive batteries by overcharging.

That's a normal charging voltage. The nominal battery voltage is 12.54 volts. You have to have a voltage higher than that to charge.
