(selective catalyst reduction) system and its mostly pump or urea injector problems. but if i were you i would keep the truck after i gets a new motor. and see if you can perchase ESP. it will help in the long run.
You are a diesel tech and don't know what warranty comes with the product you are working on???? I don't want to come to your dealership.

The motor has a 5 year, 100k mile warranty on it.

I'd rather have mechanic know how to fix the thing than the warranty period of the thing.
Let the bean counters worry about the warranty period.

+1

The tech guy has been helpful here and I appreciate his inputs a lot. We need more of them here.

Yep, a PSD tech that's replaced TEN 6.7 PSD's has obviously worked on hundreds of trucks with the 6.7 in them and has LOTS and LOTS of info about the things that you guys should watch for. P-ssing him off because he doesn't know the minute details of the warranty coverage that the service writer deals with and that are in your owner's manual in your glove compartment sounds like a really dumb thing to do.

You guys need a knowledge base of frequently repaired/replaced parts and what the problem signs are that those parts cause. You need HIM a lot more than than he needs the hassle here.

Yes, we do need Professional Ford Diesel Techs that know what they are talking about.

Ford Doctor is one.

There are several others that say they are.....

The Internet is what it is, you get to pick who to trust and who to ignore.

Who can remember the last Diesel in a Ford that was not 10 yrs 100k?
