Ford is my only choice for trucks. period. they have been building trucks and cars for a long time, seem to have their crap together finacially and are arguably the best motor company out there now, toyota dropped the ball with the pedal issue.
now international has been building diesel motors for a long time. the last few motors flaws were because of ford tinkering.
what should we expect?

We should expect a flawless motor without all of the issue the International / Ford relationship brought us with the 6.ohh and 6.4. There will be no finger pointing if this one were to fail, it will be all FORD'S fault and reputation.
Now what we GET might be something different. Only time and miles in the general public's hands will tell. I am anxiously waiting to see how this new truck does. I think that Ford has come along way in this segment, since my 2004 Excursion and 2005 F250....
All sounds good, but have you looked at SOME of the parts on our new trucks??? Made in #*%@)* China !!!!! What is that??????????
I am beginning to wonder >>>>>>
ps All I own are Ford trucks since my 1986 F250 - 2008 F350 Harley ALL DIESELS ---
Every truck was and is a GEM !!!!!!
Love em

Reason: language
Ford has built diesels since early 1950's in farm equipment.
IH has built diesel since 1940's in farm equipment.
We have had both in our business and both are good.
Cat is getting out of truck engine building cause of regulations and emissions

Really very happy with my truck its my first Ford/diesel & trouble free...No reason to replace it...The new one looks great along with the added tech of computers makes the truck very marketable.

absolutely. whats even worse is they are still sinking.
And you would expect something different?
1. The companies were failing for a variety of reasons. Chiefly, but not exclusively, the cost of union labor and benefits.
2. They took the bailout and management restrictions from the government.
3. The primary thing the gov DID NOT do was to rework the labor contracts.
4. The gov DID tinker with management.
In conclusion to my simple points, they did not relieve themselves of their chief issue and have adopted the excellent (ahem) gov management.
Yep, the are truly doomed.

Where do you think that Harley is made??? They assemble the bikes, they do not make the parts. Look under a piston and see where it is made.
Pretty sad that so much stuff is made outside of this country. I would spend a little more of my money if I knew that it was completely made in the USA, supporting an American Family.
