You will not see the soot % on a stock truck. We are seeing this on an aftermarket monitor. In my case the Edge Insight CTS. It will display up to 8 different PIDs that the Ford computer tracks, Some like Oil temp are displayed, Some like Coolant temp, Soot % etc can only be seen with an aftermarket display.

The "Cleaning Exhaust" message will flash on your command center display for 2 second when an Active Regen starts. It does not stay on until it's finished. Occassionally during the life of your truck, you may see the "DRIVE TO CLEAN" message on the command center display. This DOES stay on for the entire regen process and reminds you that you need to keep driving so it can do a complete regen. I've seen this once in 76,000 miles. So it's rare.

Thanks for the great information, always appreciated PH.

I think the first Ah HA moment I had when I brought the truck home was that I most likely will not need to have extra displays such as my old Scan Gage II and or an Edge insight any longer. It was my opinion that I was only watching these waiting to see if I could catch the the next death of my 6.0

It certianly has taken me a few months to relax and stop listening and waiitng for a failure but I have decided to relax and I am going to let the truck and the warranty run this one.

Well I do have to be honest... I have been worring if it was going to be warm enough o get a coat of wax on the truck this weekend

Good Plan. While I have the Edge Insight. It is mostly for curiosity more than something I closely monitor.

Also I used the Edge to read and clear codes on my 2006 truck. save having to go have the dealer read the code. But so far with 78,000 miles, My truck has not thrown a code.

Agree about the oil pressure gauge. I wish Ford included one.

I am not sure but I think you can monitor the systems with the android app torque and a cheap bluetooth odbii adapter.

Time/Distance between Regens

I was going into active regen about every 100 miles. I started pulling a big enclosed snowmobile trailer every weekend and it only goes into active regen every other tank of fuel now?
