'05 Block Heater, STD or OPT?

The Ford order guide says OPT for my region (OHIO) but dealer says STD and won't enter 41H on the order blank. What's the real story???

Mark

Re: '05 Block Heater, STD or OPT?

I was told it is a standard feature on the diesel in my area which is Wisconsin.

Mark,

I think it may be standard in your region, but either way it will be listed on the DORA

Re: '05 Block Heater, STD or OPT?

If you check the order guide, you will see that the block heater is only standard in 10 states: Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Wyoming. This is directly from the 07/01/2004 ordering guide for the 2005 Super Duty F-350. Or direct from the Model A's mouth

Yes, but the order guide for the F-250 does not say that the engine block heater is no longer std on the PSD. The order guide for the F-350s says it plain and clear on page 1. Based on the order guide for the F-250, the engine block heater may still be part of the PSD pkg???

Re: '05 Block Heater, STD or OPT?

Smokey,

I just looked at the 250 guide and the only place that the Block Heater is listed is under the Fleet/LPO area. There it lists the same states as the 350 guide. I do know for a fact that on the '05 350's if you are not in one of those states you get the privledge of paying for it. It is on my DORA with a price.
