That is true. There are several compatibility issues just about have to be a rocket scientist to figure some of them out and there are times even the manufacturer is unsure what works and doesn't work together.
[/ QUOTE ]You're not kidding there. I am working one of those issues out right now as a matter of fact. I tried to use the $1000 coupon I got in my SD brochure on my wife's new Mustang V6. Coupon states "Good on any Ford car, truck or SUV. Fine print states, not good for A, Z and D plans. It also exempted several entire model lines as well as specifically mentioning Mustang GT and Super Duty Harly. I take that to mean that the rest of the Mustang and SD models qualify to use the coupon.
Here is the problem, I tried to use it on a Mustang V6 on Wednesday and even though it only exempted the Mustang GT in the fine print, the dealers computer wouldn't take the coupon code on my purchase (the discount did show up on other non-exempted vehicles though). The dealer is waiting on an answer from their Ford Rep but if I don't hear something by Monday I would like to pursue this further on my own. So does anyone know where exactly I should direct my complaint to at Ford?

I just purchased a F350 Crew Cab off the lot (Friday). X plan & $2500 off. Superduties do not qualify for the addtional $1000 off. (Chicago Car Show)

[/ QUOTE ]I don't know what your coupon states but mine ONLY exempted the Harley Edition in the Super Duty line from using the coupon. All other models of the SD were ok.

Not true. I purchased a 2006 F350 PSD 8 days ago, and got x-plan, $2500 off, plus the $1000 rebate from the coupon in the brochure.

Friend of mine got a $750 (I think) brochure about a week after getting his PSD. Ford dealer took it a week or later, don't know if it got applied or not. He ordered the brochure at least a week or two before it came in.
To the best of my knowledge, the $1000 rebate is for a commercial upfit. That is , if you install tool boxes, ladder racks, snow plows etc. you will qualify. Just buying the truck does not automatically qualify you.
My friend's brochure had no such restriction. It was just a standard rebate that the dealer added on, after the fact, to $2500 incentive. Whether or not Ford will authorize it after the fact, I don't know.
Check this out. I think it will clarify the $1000 rebate in question. I just ordered a 2006 F350 6.0PSD cab/chassis so I know they qualify. http://www.commtruck.ford.com/ctw/default.asp
We are talking about two different things here folks. The $1000 or $750 or? coupon people mention, is in the customized brochure Ford sends when you request info online and is good on "ANY" SD except the HD.

Commercial rebate has nothing to do with the rebate we are talking about.
I just picked up my new 350 SWD Crew Cab w/6.0 Feb. 9th. I received the X plan, $2500 Rebate, a $500, X plan Rebate and another $500 X plan rebate. I also received a $750 rebate coupon from MyFord.Com. When we went to close the deal, the dealer advised me the $750 coupon was for Ford Credit only and I had to cough up the $750. After I left and told then to shove it, we both agreed to split the difference. ($375 each). Read the fine print on the coupons.
I submitted my credit app for a truck on monday to hopefully go with the new camper i am getting and also got the $2500.00 plus the $500.00 x plan discount and the dealer said the brochure coupon($750.00) was compatiable with the x-plan according to the computer (they never said nothing about being with FORD credit only) when he looked up the promo code for a total discount of $3750.00 not to mention what the x-plan got me
Now i am just waiting to see if the bank is going to approve me for the truck/camper together. If not, at least i still will have the camper which is now on order
