That color is very close to the copper color Ford had out in 1977. Of course that was one of their first metallic trays and faded/came off truck, but the color is very close.
For me I like the current chestnut better. Something about he purple hue the chestnut has. But this is not bad. Still better than the horse poop green they still have but under a different color name.

Sorry about the spelling on my post above. You right about the color back then. After it faded or got thin the rust showed up and was just about the same, but a little duller.

If you go to your local dealer ask for the 2005 Truck/SUV Color & Upholstery book. It has 8.5X11" paint samples of all the colors. We got ours about a month ago so they should have it.

But hey, you might run into something really cool, like we're having a 2005 Mustang GT here tomorrow, the only time in Colorado to see a new body style Mustang until they arrive at the dealers in October. Ford didn't even bring one to the Denver Autoshow.

Nope - not even close. It does not have the deep purple hue to it. They took the red out and made it look like the chevy color.
