Does anyone know if the 2007 models will have Navigation units in them? Also when are they starting to offer Sirius? ? I can’t believe they don’t have a Nav unit now. That’s what people do with these trucks, drive across country.
If they don't they will be way behind with the competition. Although IMO, you can get much a better nav unit aftermarket. Bigger screen, much more features, etc. Time will tell...
Could you or anyone else give an example of a big screen or more features unit?
My best to you,
-Kevin

The factory nav unit offered in the Expedition just plain sucks; I don't have a single customer happy with it. Personally, I found the best "navigation system" for about 10 bucks: it's called a Rand-McNally Atlas .
i was thinking of putting one of the ford navs in my sd because i think it will fit real nice and not look to flashy...i am curious to why your customers are not happy with them, please elaborate

It works off 10 different discs, one for each region of the country. It gets to be a pain, changing out the discs. Also, it's so complicated (integrated with the radio), that you can do one of two things: you can drive the vehicle, or you can operate the nav- but there is NO WAY you can do both at the same time!

That's awful. My Alpine works from 1 DVD for the entire country and is completly multi-tasking. My wife's nav in her 300C is even better than my alpine. Maybe aftermarket will be the way to go with Ford.
Other brands have excellent GPS systems from the factory. My dads CTS-V has a huge screen and is a very nice system. The one on his old 300M was also very nice and easy to use.
