Re: 2008 F-450 Pickup Ordered on 9/12/07

Nice truck! Really like the billet grill with the chrome package on the Lariats.

Update

Put the truck on the road on February 28 (didn't want to because it's still snowing up here) but we sold our 99.5 F-450. Put 900 miles on it driving around Rochester and on March 24, we headed toward Rehoboth, Delaware to visit friends and register the truck.

Tania enjoyed driving the truck so much she drove 2/3 of the way down and back! The audiophile radio with Sirius provided great music. Registration process went smooth as silk (a concern when you are 400 miles away from your dealer).

After leaving the Delaware DMV, we were heading south on route 113 and the truck started skipping. Fortunately, Millsboro Ford was nearby and they quickly diagnosed the problem as the #7 injector. Gave us a loaner and the truck was back in our hands two days later as good as new.

Trip home was as trouble free as the trip down. Total trip was 1100 miles and the MPG averaged 12.1 which is almost identical to the 10 to 12 mpg we got on the 99.5 F-450.
