My other half is about ready to order himself and o6 (it will look lovely next to my 05) and has a question...are the adjustable pedals adjustable away from you, ie giving more leg room, or do they only come closer? He's looking for the max leg room possible. Thanks!

It depends where you start from. You can adjust it to go just about to the floor.

My 2001 Superduty didn't have them, but my 2006 does. Gotta say it's a great option. I think Ford should make them standard.

i do not beleive that the adjustable pedals give you more leg room. if your tall the the truck does not have enough leg room. i have long legs and short arms so i have trouble with the steering wheel being so far away. im 6'3 ' hope this helps
me to
being 6 foot 3 inches. i can run the pedals all the way forward and then have to move the seat forward to reach the wheel, we need an extendable stearing colum......

I'm 6'1" and my wife is 5'8". When I get into the truck after my wife has been driving I adjust the seat position first, lower and further away from the dash .. then the steering wheel downward .. and then the pedals moved toward the firewall giving me more legroom. When my wife drives after me she reverses everything. It would be nice if the truck had a "memory" like the "X" then once everything was setup for a certain driver that driver could recall the settings, with a push of a button, the next time they drive. So to answer you original question .. maximum legroom would be due to the seat being all the way back and the pedals all the way forward. Regards.

Anybody know if there is a way to retrofit the memory feature like is in the Excursion to a Superduty? My wifes X has the memory and it would be nice if my truck had it since we take each others truck frequently.
