Re: After 4 1/2 weeks, the "Beast" is finally here!
Right on dude. After two years (its a long story) my truck arrived today. Ordered 3/9/00 (the second time), delivered to my dealer this morning and already taken it for a test drive this afternoon. Dealer thought I was gonna take it home with no prep but I dropped the 9 page checklist from this site on his desk and said I'd be back tomorrow after it was ready to go. He was in awe of the detail in the list but agreed they'd use in in addition to the ford prep list. Stopped at the local tire dealer on the way down and he's swapping the tires for 285's for $250 mounted. Line-x on monday, start figuring out how to level the front, chip (but which one)....I'm out of control. Heh, heh, heh... Oh yeah it doesn't cackle either.
Mainer

Well, I picked it up today!
This is indeed the sweetest vehicle I have ever driven in my life! Oh, and no cackle.
I have the bigest grin everytime I look at it.
I have to hand it to Cochise from Lone Star Ford in Houston, top notch in every aspect.

Texas, congrats. I think I picked mine up just before you did. I wheeled out of there around 1130. Made it back to VA Beach last night. Great truck in every respect. I had an uneventful trip (thank the Lord!). Cochise was super to deal with. I canceled my order here after waiting over 4.5 months and not even scheduled. Got mine from Cochise at Lone Star Ford in Houston scheduled within one week of order. I highly recommend him. Gotta run - my wife wants to take the truck out to the store, uh-oh!
Re: After 4 1/2 weeks, the "Beast" is finally here!
Jepsonfam,
Was your truck the Red 350 V10?
I know, Cochise told me to wait a bit because he had someone that had flown from Virginia, and now I realize it was you. How funny. Well, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am. I just came back from having the window tinting done (it looks awesome)
Next will be the TTM and gauges (will drive to DIS in Lubbock to get it done there)
Re: After 4 1/2 weeks, the "Beast" is finally here!
Texas, yes that was me. Went out today and got Husky floor mats for the front, not sure about what I'll do in the back. Also got a bug shield and installed that. Next is a cap and liner but haven't decided which route to go on those. I do really like the truck - rides super. Enjoy! Jay
