Already Ordered a Truck, can I still do the X-Plan

I ordered an 05 Superduty... MSRP was a hair over $50K, Invoice was a little over $44K. I got them to go $100 over invoice. I signed a piece of paper that said I'd buy it and they have now ordered my truck... no VIN yet... So I was wondering, am I still able to get the X-Plan?

I also looked into the AQHA but I read something that you must wait 60 days prior to getting the $500...

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks,
Donny

Re: Already Ordered a Truck, can I still do the X-Plan

Ford X-Plan Rules (for Ford employees giving out "friends and neighbors" X-Plan PINs):

Who's Eligible?

Customers are eligible for the X-Plan if they were identified and sponsored, by a Ford Motor Company employee or retiree, before visiting a dealership.

Who's Not?
...

• • Anyone who has discussed a retail purchase of a vehicle, with a dealer, prior to applying for an X Plan.

So Ford employees are not allowed to give you a PIN.

I don't know if these rules apply if you work for a Ford Partner company and can get an X-Plan PIN where you work.

Your dealer will wind up with a little more profit with an X-Plan deal than with the deal you have. So if you can get an X-Plan PIN where you work, then your dealer would probably be glad to revise your contract.

Re: Already Ordered a Truck, can I still do the X-Plan

Smokey, has anyone that you know of tried to become a member of the AHQA and tried to use the $500 incentive prior to their grace/waiting period being up?

Also, do you know what the small business incentive is and what qualifies someone for that?

Re: Already Ordered a Truck, can I still do the X-Plan

the AQHA does have a waiting period to be eligible. The dealer needs to make a copy of your ID card with the membership number and them obtain a control number from Ford to apply for the rebate. Ford will kick it out if it is too soon.

On the Commercial upfit program you get the choice of $300 cash, a $500 tool package, or a $500 upfit rebate if you spend at least $1200 on aftermarket items related to your business such as ladder racks, snow plow, hitches, toppers, custom graphics, etc. Proof of business is either a federal ID number, a federal form proving business such as a schedule C or F, sales tax license, fleet ID number, yellow page ad. In other words it must be a bonafide business. Just having a busines card is no longer considered proof of business.

Thanks Ed. I went on and joined AQHA just in case my truck doesn't come in in time for the current $2K back. I do have a schedule C for my business so if the AQHA doesn't work, I can get the $300 it sounds like. You also mentioned a $500 tool package, what does that consist of?
Thanks
