Another Bucket seat question.

Looking at the Ford PDF on the available seats It seems to me that the bucket seats do not have the arm rest or lumbar adjustment. Two salesmen assured me that the bucket did have the arm rest and lumbar? Who should I belive? How can I get clairification?

the captains chairs have lumbar and a armrest. you can come look at my truck if you like, or any other truck with captains chairs in a parking lot somewhere.

Hmmm. If I look at this picture:

I see the lumbar adjustment (knob on the seat frame) but it sure looks like the new console design provides the armrest function, instead of the stubby one attached to the seat. Obviously different trim levels may have different configurations.

Re: Another Bucket seat question.

Just a guess here, maybe it has to do with the model you are looking at. XL, XLT, or Lariat. I know in the past there has been an option for bucket seats on XL trucks, however I feel sure that these are not the same seats they would install in a Lariat. Just as bucket/captain seats are a no charge option in a XLT, yet the power seat is an option in the XLT where as it is standard in the Lariat.
So what model are you looking at ordering.

Re: Another Bucket seat question.

What jonrjen said.

"Bucket" seats are available only in XL trim. And no, those seats do not have lumbar support, but (at least in 2006 models) they do have inboard armrests. And in 2008 models they also have a floor console with cupholders. The XL bucket seats are not available with XLT or higher trim level.

But the "captain's" chairs optional in XLT and higher-level trim are different. They have lumbar support and inboard armrests.
