Hey guys I’ve been kicking around the idea of trading in the 02 and was wondering if a person can use the “X Plan” and trade a truck in..? I have a friend of mine that says I can use his “X Plan”… is that also possible..?
Buying a truck and trading another one in should be two different transactions - they just determine how much cash you have to bring when you get the new truck.
Is your friend a Ford employee? I believe they can transfer X-plan PINs to anyone. My company doesn't allow it - can only transfer to immediate family.
I just did exactly that. Told 'em I had the X certificate, built the truck, then enquired how much they might give me for my old truck. Worked well. I would have gone on down the road if the tradein was too low.
